Best Wedding Pictures Ever

Of course you need to click on the picture (twice actually, once to load it in a new page, then once again to see it at full size) to see the full version. Go ahead... click on it... what are you waiting for?

Fuck you Michele Bachmann... again...

She put her foot in her mouth yet again...

"You would think by now people would get the message, an earthquake, a hurricane," looking up at the sky, she continues. "Are you listening? The American people have done everything they possibly can, now it's time for an act of God, and they're getting it!"

Is this woman serious... Someone, for the love of God, walk up to some undisclosed balcony with a something out of Fallout: New Vegas, and assassinate this bitch...

Trapped Dead: A Review

A real zombie apocalypse would be less painful. Slaughtering zombies should never get old. One of the last groups still politically correct to massacre, there's something pleasing about defending humanity from a horde of the undead. Unfortunately, the more you progress in Trapped Dead, the more you'll be rooting for the zombies.

The game's visuals and art style are where the positive experiences of the game ends. The controls are very slow and sometimes unresponsive, and even when they are responsive the in-game actions are just as slow. Many reviews spoke of bugs but I didn't get the chance to encounter any because the ultra slow controls made game play almost impossible.

For the life of me, I can not understand how it recieved the "German Game Developer Award", as "Best Action Game 2010".

Trapped Dead however fails in providing entertaining gameplay. I write this review to hopefully prevent anyone else from being convinced that the game is worth the cost to at least give it a try. As an avid zombie fan and a fan of tactical gameplay, I urge you to avoid spending time and money ($9.99 on Steam) on Trapped Dead.…

Today's smokey, yet truly fucked up fact!

Shanghai police were investigating Thursday after a man died when he was allegedly abandoned under general anesthetic on a hospital operating table after a fire broke out. The 49-year-old was undergoing an amputation after surviving a traffic accident when a blaze broke out in an adjacent operating theater of Shanghai No. 3 People’s Hospital at about 10:00pm Wednesday, the Shanghai Daily reported. Police said he died from smoke inhalation. Officials were quoted as saying that all other patients were evacuated during the emergency, but that when staff returned to the building they found the man dead on the operating table.

Way to go China!

FUCK YOU MICHELE BACHMANN!

United States, Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann says she wouldn't rule out changes to the federal minimum wage as a way to lower the cost of doing business and lure corporations back to the United States.

The Minnesota congresswoman told supporters at a packed sandwich shop that the corporate income tax needs to be reduced because companies are moving to other countries to save money. She was later asked by a reporter whether changes to the minimum wage should also be considered to balance the cost of labor here and overseas.

"I'm not married to anything. I'm not saying that's where I'm going to go," she said.

She did say she wants to look at all aspects of doing business, from regulations to tax codes, and will consider anything that will help create jobs. The federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour.

"I want to bring advisers in from labor and from manufacturers and from the service industry and financial services. I want to know what they know, because that's what we've been missing from President Obama. He has virtually no one in his Cabinet with private sector experience," Bachmann said. "I want to bring people who know how to create jobs into my administration."

The stop at Angie's Subs was the first in a three-day tour of Florida, a state that's hoping to play a major role in the primary. With 29 electoral votes, it also is the largest prize among the states that neither party can take for granted in the 2012 general election.

Bachmann told the crowd she knows Florida will play an important role in the election.

"We will be back here many, many, many, many, many times in Jacksonville, and we're going to be old friends and neighbors by the time this is all done," she said.

Though at one point, she forgot she was in a local sub shop while talking about helping businesses.

"Can you imagine if good businesses like Subway," she began before the crowd drowned her out shouting, "Angie's!"

She made up for it by starting a chant of "Angie's Subs!" at the end of her remarks.

While she clearly excited the crowd, Vicki Higbee, 54, of Jacksonville said she isn't completely sold on Bachmann. She said that she's committed to voting for a conservative but that she also likes Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

"I'm here to see what she has to say," said Higbee. "I love her and I love her positions, but I'm not committed. She supports a lot of the positions and values that I hold dear."
---------------------------------------------

Let me get this straight...she would consider LOWERING the United States minimum wage? $7.25 an hour translates into $1208 a month, and $14,500 a year before taxes. Take out taxes and rent and what do you have for bills and food? Nothing. Maybe she should consider having her family's business decline federal subsidies and her husbands clinic from getting medicare first. Oh wait, they can't make a profit without those government handouts? Sorry, let's take it from the poor minimum wage earners instead.

This coming from the woman who recently confused actor, John Wayne, with The Killer Clown serial murderer, John Wayne Gacy... and still insists she's a serious candidate. As Chris Wallace from Faux News so elegantly put it, "Michele Bachmann, you are a flake".

How about she try's to live on $7.25 an hour... by herself for 6 months. Give it a shot Michele, take one for the team.

I guess Americans need to learn to live without electricity, cars, education, and clean water because obviously the conservative agenda is to put them on par with places like Mauritania and Cambodia. When did the great American dream become being competitive with Third World countries? Soon they will only have the poor and the uber-rich. I've seen countries like this, and it drives people to one thing; crime.

Face it America, nothing about this woman is "balanced"...

First of all, minimum wage is not "holding back" American business. Fortune 500 and non Fortune 500 corporations alike, are making record breaking profits, and sitting on HUGE amounts of cash - so why aren't they investing? Why are they still laying people off? Why are they still shipping jobs overseas? These executives are pulling in record salaries as well... meanwhile, where are the American's jobs?

The short answer is, a GOP myth and a smoke screen for the weathy.

If if walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

It's a witch?

No...

How about trying this on for size... Bring the competition back to United States by leveling the playing field and cutting tax breaks for those who ship jobs overseas, and raising tariffs on products and services shipped here, not by lowering the already staggering low American wages. That way the 1% who are "executives" win, and the rest of American society can still earn their slave wages.

Face it, those constituents who believe that "minimum wage" is to high, have never tried to live off of it. That's one of the many problems with America. It's being ran by a bunch of wealthy clowns who have absolutely no clue what reality is. They have been blinded by their wealth and are oblivious to the problems that face 78% of their constituants. It's time for a change people! How about you try not electing anyone that has earned more than 70 grand this year.

In closing, America has behemoth problems. In eight years, the George Bush Administration invested nothing in modernization or industrial revitalization. The American people were ripped off by Wall Street money changers, to a tune of a cool 17 trillion, and left middle class holding the bag. In debt up to their eyebrows, combined with crumbling infrastructure, and that ugly sucking sound of 20 million jobs, poof-gone, forever. In addition to everything else George Bush screwed up, in that 8 years of abject stagnation, America stumbled 20 years behind. The American people need these two-faced fundamentalist Republicans to step aside, and grant them time necessary to reverse the damage they've caused, to thier nation.

Goodreads

Face it, if you know me, you know I am sort of a book slut... so Goodreads is perfect for me.

Goodreads is the largest social network for readers in the world. They have more than 5,500,000 members who have added more than 170,000,000 books to their shelves. A place for casual readers and bona-fide bookworms alike, Goodreads members recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they've read and would like to read, form book clubs and much more.

Most book recommendation websites work by listing random people’s reviews. On Goodreads, when a person adds a book to the site, all their friends can see what they thought of it. It’s common sense. People are more likely to get excited about a book their friend recommends than a suggestion from a stranger. Their members also create trivia about books, lists of the best books, post their own writing and form groups and book clubs.

I didn't get to blog much yesterday... because my stupid internet was down ALL DAY... so I'm going to try to make up for it today... Hehehehehe.

Naoto Kan resigns...

Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, whose approval rating tumbled following the devastating March earthquake and tsunami, announced his resignation Friday. Kan announced he is stepping down as party leader during a meeting with members of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan. The party will elect a new leader next week, who will take over as prime minister. The resignation fulfills his promise to step down after parliament approved two pieces of legislation, including one related to post-earthquake reconstruction. "I will put my words into action once those two bills are approved," Kan said this month at a Lower House committee session. Kan believes the two bills -- the deficit-financing bond bill and the new energy promotion bill -- will push forward his reconstruction policies. The bills passed Friday. Kan has been under pressure to resign since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami and subsequent nuclear crisis in the nation. The disaster triggered the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl, as cores overheated and spewed radioactive material into surrounding areas. Soon after the disaster, ratings agency Moody's put the country debt under review for a possible downgrade, as political infighting undermined measures to fix the budget deficit. Moody's officially downgraded Japan's credit on Wednesday, citing its unstable politics In June, the embattled leader narrowly escaped a vote of no confidence in parliament. As many as nine candidates, including Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda and former foreign minister, Seiji Maehara, are considered possible contenders for the post of prime minister. Kan's resignation allows him to remain in office until the ruling party elects its new leader, a move scheduled for Monday. A day later, parliament will vote in the new leader as prime minister, the sixth premier for the nation in five years. Japan's next prime minister will inherit a series of problems, including soaring debt, nuclear woes, a shrinking population and a nation struggling to rebuild after the devastating earthquake and tsunami.

エゴis≒徒

エゴis≒徒 (Egoist), was an indie Visual Kei band that formed in January of 2010, and produced two singles before their disbandment in April of 2010.

Upon checking out the first single, the first track is instrumental, I hate those, so moving on, the second song, the music sounded decent, had a good drum line which is a plus as with a lot of Jrock bands, drum lines are hardly detectable. Ruois (the vocalist (in the middle of the above picture), who looks a lot like D=OUT's Kouki, why indie jrocker vocalists seem to prolifically copy this look is beyond me, but okay), sounds a bit like Nao, from カレン, though not nearly as polished. Lyrically, meh... As the third song starts to play, I am disappointed, the music sounds the relatively the same as the second song. Though this time, he's attempting to sound like NIL era Ruki from the GazettE, which puts me off a bit.

Loading up the second, and last single, I am pleasantly surprised to hear a nice piano piece, and soft whispering, it sort of reminds me of something that either Ruki, or Gackt may do, sadly it did not last as long as I would have liked. As the second song plays, the music is meh, and he is continuing to attempt (fail) to sound like NIL era Ruki, and by the third song I am sort of pissed, because the first 20 seconds, sounds REALLY similar to the GazettE's "Cockroach", off of, Gama.

In closing, I didn't like this band, what little I hear anyway. What's your opinion?

Click here to download both singles.

The 27 Club

In poor taste or not, you know it's fucking hilarious!

Walmart is hilarious!

Because a fucking penny makes all the fucking difference in the fucking world!

This looks comfortable as fuck!

Why should small children be the only ones enjoying the sweet comfort and peaceful swings of a cradle? This is probably the rhetorical question that triggered the idea of creating a cradle for adults. Richard Clarkson took the idea of some adults always bearing a child side within to another level. According to the project developers, “Cradle is about creating a safe, comfortable and relaxing environment in which the user can dissipate the overstimulation of their senses. The design was heavily directed by a synthesis of research into Autism and children with Rhythmic Movement Disorder (RMD), as well as saftey, sustainability, function and aesthetics. The chair is designed for maximum relaxation, comfort and calmness“. We are intrigued by the design of this “cradle for adults” (initially spotted on Beautiful Life) and we know that even most of you out there won’t admit it, you would love to take this comfortable bed for a swing.

Sadly his website portfolio doesn't list a price for the chair... I'm gonna email him and ask him though.

Director Spike Lee set to direct Oldboy remake

Mandate Pictures has announced that Spike Lee (Inside Man) will direct Oldboy, a remake of the highly-acclaimed South Korean film. Mark Protosevich has adapted the screenplay and will co-produce. Roy Lee and Doug Davison (The Departed, The Grudge) will produce. The film is a Vertigo Entertainment/40 Acres & A Mule Production. Mandate President Nathan Kahane will executive produce.

"It's a great honor to put this special project into the hands of such a gifted writer and iconic director," said Kahane.

Oldboy tells the story of a man who is kidnapped and imprisoned on his daughter’s birthday. For fifteen years, he is held captive, and, upon his release, must begin his journey to find the reason for his imprisonment. He soon finds out that his kidnapper has plans for him more tortuous than his solitary confinement. The original film, released in 2003, directed by Chan-wook Park won the Grand Prize Jury Award at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.

Spike Lee and Mark Protosevich are represented by CAA. Dan Freedman, SVP of business affairs, negotiated the deals for Mandate.
---------------------------------------
No... No... Hell no... this film does not need a remake. Spike Lee is a brilliant and accomplished director, I understand this, but the fact remains that the original Oldboy has subject matter that simply will not sit well with American audiences, so I am in no way looking forward to this most likely watered down, Americanized version. The hallway hammer fight scene alone is a directorial and choreographic marvel that should further exemplify why the original film stands on its own and should be left to do so.

Today’s unqualified yet truly fucked up fact!

I bet you didn't know this, but prior to the development of modern forensic science procedures (say right around the 1940s or so), The United States required no medical background or training for county or state coroners, even though they were charged with determining the cause of death.

For instance, A list of New York City coroners, from 1898 to 1915, included eight undertakers, seven politicians, six real estate dealers, two saloon keepers, two plumbers, a lawyer, a printer, an auctioneer, a wood carver, a carpenter, a painter, a butcher, a marble cutter, a milkman, an insurance agent, a labor leader, and a musician.

It also included 17 physicians, but these were men like Patrick Riordan, doctors who had lost their practice and turned to a political position. None of them were asked to pass a test in order to hold office, or exhibit any knowledge of the profession. As a result, death certificates were filled out with no effort at determining cause. Among the entries were “could be suicide or murder,” and “either assault or diabetes.” In one instance a coroner had attributed a death to “diabetes, tuberculosis or nervous indigestion.” A few death certificates simply read “act of God”.

I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't have wanted my neighborhood Milkman being the leading authority telling my family how I ultimately met my demise... Also, what exactly classifies a "nervous indigestion", and how does one die from it? Not to mention, aren't all deaths ultimately considered "Acts of God"?

Is this to much?

I've been really slacking for the past 6 months or so on my duties concerning EA, to the tune of almost 6000, yes, that's 6 and 3 zeros, ROM comments that need to be sorted and approved/disapproved... 200 pages, and I feel like I don't have the motivation, or patience for this shit anymore, after 10 years, especially now that Jason's gone. It's really hard to believe that it's been over 2 years since he died. I miss him everyday.

Trent's asleep after working until 4am, and it's really difficult in this tiny house to maintain a sense of quiet for him to sleep, with Midget running around, and playing. Linda woke him up this morning, knowing he had so little sleep, just so that they could argue about the state of the phone, as we, or should I say "she", stupidly, changed companies. I knew this would happen, nothing is working right, so she's more angry than she was before the switch, regardless, she shouldn't have woke him up for something so stupid, knowing that he had only an hour before gone to sleep. I have news for her, when she wakes up and goes over to watch her precious Cable Television, and she finds out that, that too, isn't working, she's going to be doubly pissed. I told her not to choose AT&T, but she doesn't listen to anything I say. Because I couldn't possibly be right about anything... *rolls eyes* Give me a break. Granted I was a bit annoyed when I discovered the Cable didn't work, simply because I am trying to keep Midget "quietly" entertained. Now I have to do it in this TINY computer room... It's not working very well, and I am growing exceedingly frustrated.

I'm actually frustrated about a good many things... As some of you may know after years of knowing me, I don't do well with people with obsessive compulsive disorder. It's a great annoyance to me... Certain ticks rub me the wrong way so badly that I just want to punch a wall, simply to avoid punching that person in the face. Lately I've been wanting to punch Linda... Her ticks are driving me bat shit insane. Everything has to be done right now and just the way she wants it... I'm used to that in a way because Midget is going through that stage... But for fucks sake... she's 2 years old, it's developmentally normal for someone her age... it's NOT normal for a grown 67 year old woman... *head hits desk repeatedly*

Don't get me started on Trent... I'm not even going to go there right now...

Did I make yet another bad decision...?

No time to dwell on it right now... I will confront it head on this weekend, then I will figure out what my next step will be.

Perhaps what I need, is some time on my own, just Midget and I. Though that requires a lot more money, and resources than I have currently...

I guess the biggest thing right now is the huge lack of direct communication. It's wearing on me.

仙台貨物・神様、もう少しだけ

                                                    仙台貨物・神様、もう少しだけ
Sarah hates this song with an undying purple passion. I however, love it. I was sitting here listening to it, and giggling, as I usually do when I hear this song and watch the video. So then I was thinking, why not translate it for laughs.

I’ve decided to be a gay man with pride
My heart’s boiling with a groaning beat
For sure, I’m gonna confess everything I feel for you now
I’ve decided to be a gay man with pride
Poison’s boiling in the groaning beat
My pure heart jumps out to you
It‘s good, right? Get off me please! Why? I like you!
So you like me too, right?
It’s okay, don’t be shy, and leap into my arms!
I’ll wrap you up with my well toned body, Oh wonderful!
Is this a dream? It’s okay even if this is death..
Tenderly kissing you… I’ve seen dreams like this…
It‘s good, right? Get off me please! Why?
These sorts of things, Such things like this, you like them as well, right? Oh wonderful!
Is this a dream? It’s okay even if this is death..
Tenderly kissing you.. after this kind of dream
Show me the dream just one more time God
In the core of the oil paint’s world. Oh beautiful!
Whatever happens
I won’t die by any means!
Because I like you!

An Alzheimer’s cure coming?

Researchers at the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation have discovered a protein that spurs the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Paul Greengard, Nobel Laureate and Director of the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research laboratory, and his team at The Rockefeller University have identified a protein called gamma-secretase activating protein (gSAP), which stimulates the production of beta-amyloid.

Beta-amyloid is a substance that becomes toxic in Alzheimer’s disease and is responsible for most of the symptoms of the disease, such as memory loss.

The researchers also discovered that an anti-cancer drug, Gleevec, targets gSAP and consequently lowers beta-amyloid levels in the brain.

Moreover, inhibiting the function of gSAP is not toxic to nervous cells, unlike other beta-amyloid inhibitor drugs which often produce severe toxic reactions.

With this discovery, Greengard hopes to usher in a new era of development for Alzheimer’s drugs.

“Millions of people suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, and the treatment options are limited,” Greengard said. “Existing drugs may mask symptoms for a time but do nothing to stop the relentless downward progression of Alzheimer’s. What is needed are safe and effective medications that will halt the cause of the underlying disease. It is our hope that this gSAP protein will greatly add to the creation of safe and effective Alzheimer’s treatment.”

President Obama, congratulations, you're a tool...

An unmanned Russian supply ship bound for the International Space Station failed to reach its planned orbit Wednesday, and pieces of it fell in Siberia amid a thunderous explosion, officials said.

A brief statement from Roscosmos, Russia's space agency, did not specify whether the Progress supply ship that was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan had been lost. But the state news agency RIA Novosti quoted Alexander Borisov, head of a the Choisky region in Russia's Altai province, as saying pieces of the craft fell in his area some 900 miles northeast of the launch site.

Roscosmos said the third stage of the rocket firing the ship into space failed at 325 seconds into the launch. The ship was carrying more than 2.5 tons of supplies, including oxygen, food and fuel. Since the ending of the U.S. space shuttle program this summer, Russian spaceships are a main supply link to the space station. It was the 44th Progress to launch to the International Space Station.

There are six astronauts aboard the International Space Station, which orbits 220 miles above the Earth. They are Russians Andrei Borisenko, Alexander Samokuyayev and Sergei Volkov, Americans Michael Fossum and Ronald Garan and Satoshi Furukawa of Japan.
----------------------------------------

Okay... tell me if I'm wrong, but logic would dictate, that if you still have astronauts stuck on that 13 year old decrepit hunk of junk, then perhaps it would have been wise not to have suspended the US Space Program until first bringing these people back to Earth... Forgoing having to depend on another county's less superior space fairing technology to take care of your "stranded" American astronauts.

Reprisal by F. Paul Wilson

“Who am I? Why, I’m you. Or parts of you. The best parts. I’m the touch of Richard Speck, Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and Bin Laden in all of you. I am the thousand tiny angers and fleeting rages of your day—at the car that cuts you off on the freeway, at the kid who sneaks ahead of you in line at the movies, at the old fart with the full basket in the eight-items-only express checkout at the supermarket. I’m the nasty glee in the name-callers and the long-suffering pain, the self-loathing, the smoldering resentment, the suppressed rage, and the never-to-be-fulfilled promises of revenge in their targets. I’m the daily business betrayals and the corporate men’s room character assassinations. I’m the husband who beats his wife, the mother who scalds her child, I’m the playground beatings of your little boys, the backseat rapes of your daughters. I’m your rage toward a child molester and I’m the pederast’s lust for your child, for his own child. I’m the guards’ contempt for their prisoners and the prisoners’ hatred for their guards, I’m the shank, I’m the truncheon, I’m the shiv. I’m the bayonet in the throat of the political dissident, the meat hook on which he is hung, the cattle prod that caresses his genitals. You’ve kept me alive, you’ve made me strong. I am you.”

With a item description like that, why wouldn't I want to read this book. The only problem is, that I have to wait for it. The release date isn't until December 6, 2011.

He took another shift

He took the midnight til 3am shift on top of what he already does from 6 until 11pm... I am wondering when Midget and I are going to be able to see him now... :/

I'm really bummed...

The Vice President of the United States is an idiot...

Vice President Biden is facing criticism after telling a crowd in China that he doesn't have a problem with the country's one-child policy.

The vice president addressed the policy while answering a question about the U.S. budget deficit at a university in Chengdu on Sunday. He was trying to explain how China has a looming entitlement crisis on its hands because its strict enforcement of the one-child-per-family rule has essentially eroded the "safety net" for seniors. Fewer children means fewer people earning money and supporting retirees.

But in explaining that concept, Biden appeared to condone China's policy.

"You have no safety net. Your policy has been one which I fully understand -- I'm not second-guessing -- of one child per family," Biden said, according to the official transcript of the event. "The result being that you're in a position where one wage earner will be taking care of four retired people. Not sustainable."

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, called China's policy "gruesome and barbaric" and questioned how Biden could have given it a pass.

"Vice President Biden's acquiescence to such a policy should shock the conscience of every American. Instead of condoning the policy, Vice President Biden should have condemned it in the strongest possible terms," he said in a statement.

Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America, said in a written statement that Biden's comment "crosses the lines of ignorant and wrong."

But a spokesman for the vice president said in a statement later Tuesday that, “The Obama Administration strongly opposes all aspects of China’s coercive birth limitation policies, including forced abortion and sterilization."

"The Vice President believes such practices are repugnant. He also pointed out, in China, that the policy is, as a practical matter, unsustainable. He was arguing against the One Child Policy to a Chinese audience," the spokesman added.

China introduced the policy three decades ago to help curb population growth. It does not apply to those in rural areas, but families living in cities can be subjected to stiff fines for breaking the rule. The policy has also resulted in families choosing to have male children more frequently than female children.
--------------------------------------------------
Really, Mr. Vice President? You're not second-guessing a policy that has resulted in untold numbers of forced abortions, forced sterilizations, outrageous fines or even jail time for families that dare to defy the law, in the midst of a huge gender imbalance crisis?

Frustration

My hard drives are maxed, and there are some things I want to do. Photoshop for one. I have this WONDERFUL INTUOS4 sitting here in it's case, collecting dust. I want to get back into art. To do so, I need around 100 gig free from my largest drive. It's time to get to work, a massive deletion process will now begin... I wonder how far I will get before I say fuck it, yet again...

Envirosax Bloom Shopper

Reusable shopping bags are all the craze nowadays, and with good reason. The plastic bags cause a plethora of environmental problems. The solution? This durable, lightweight bag. It has a awesome Japanese style floral print, and can be rolled up and snapped closed for handy storage. Every time you shop, you'll be cutting back on clutter, waste, and damage to our environment, and doing so with eye-catching style. The best part about this bag is that it sells for less than $20.

I'm totally shocked

"Toxicology tests have found that no illegal substances were in singer Amy Winehouse's system at the time of her death last month, her family said Tuesday."

I would have put money on finding a cornucopia of drugs in her system... so she was sober when she died, that's a shock to me. Furthermore, it makes me wonder now, why she died.

Trent speculates withdrawal. If that's the case, then this makes her death even sadder, the fact that she was trying to get clean.

How dare they change things?!?!

I've been a member of The Nexus for almost 8 years or so, and today Trent logs on and they have COMPLETELY CHANGED EVERYTHING...

NOOOOOOOOOOO! I am not happy in the least bit... it looks really shitty and it's hard to navigate. Trent says that "I'm the most change resistant person he's ever met".

They haven't changed their layout in YEARS!!! So I guess I'm pretty comfortable with where everything is, and now... my head is spinning...

LucaRia

Not much has been stated about this band, other than they debuted in 2010, and are visual kei. All members having belonged to different indie bands throughout the years.

From left to right, we have Miya, on drums, Tomo on bass, You on vocals, Taku on guitar and Honoka on guitar (click on the picture for enlargement).

Visually they kind of remind me of DaizyStripper, though not nearly as attractive, in fact, the only band member I find attractive is the bassist, Tomo. He's got this "Tora" look going on. Though I will say that, You, the vocalist looks slightly like D=OUT's, Kouki.

Sadly, their OHP hasn't been updated since April 13th of this year, so I have no idea what's going on with these guys or if they are still a band. I guess I will have to read some of their Ameba blogs and see what they are up to, as those seem to be updated frequently.

Okay, their music...  It seems that they released one maxi-single, titled "Lost World", last year, and then released another maxi-single this year entitled "Desire".

Upon first hearing the music, it's very unappealing, and electronic, but when he starts to sing on the second track, it sounds so much like D's, ASAGI. By the third track I am really wanting to hear more vocals, though sadly there are no more to be had, as I have yet to find their maxi-single "Desire" (When I do find it, I will be posting it).

Lyrically, they are no "the GazettE", but they do show promise. I hope they produce more music, though I hope as well, that they lose the childish video game, electronica sound.

Take a listen for yourself and let me know what you think.

Flushing out my space

I have been really thinking about some other things that I would like to bring to my blog.

One of the avenues I've been thinking about exploring is my love for the Asian music scene.

I'm going to post a random group, give a little background info on the group, talk a bit about their visuals (if it's applicable), and then show you a sample of their music.

Kindle resurrected ...

For a price... $60 to be exact. That's how much I have to pay to get a new warranty on the new Kindle that was replaced today, when the douche bags at Best Buy today refused to honor the manufactures warranty, instead opting to use the Best Buy warranty that I purchased with the original Kindle... so all in all, once I spend that $60, I could have instead bought a fucking Kindle DX... I am not fucking happy at all...

Today’s hungry yet truly fucked up fact!

In some of my old blogs my readers seemed to absolutely delight in the fact that I would constantly bring them awful facts, or news stories. I thought this blog should be no different.

Culled from: The Daily Telegraph (August, 21,2011)

"A distraught mother listened on a mobile phone as her teenage daughter was eaten alive by a brown bear and its three cubs. Olga Moskalyova, 19, gave an horrific hour-long running commentary on her own death in three separate calls as the wild animals mauled her. She screamed: ‘Mum, the bear is eating me! Mum, it’s such agony. Mum, help!’ Her mother Tatiana said that at first she thought she was joking. ‘But then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga’s voice, and the sounds of a bear growling and chewing,’ she added. ‘I could have died then and there from shock.’ Unknown to Tatiana, the bear had already killed her husband Igor Tsyganenkov – Olga’s stepfather – by overpowering him, breaking his neck and smashing his skull. Olga, a trainee psychologist, saw the attack on her stepfather in tall grass and reeds by a river in Russia and fled for 70 yards before the mother bear grabbed her leg. As the creature toyed with her, she managed to call Tatiana several times during the prolonged attack. Tatiana rang her husband – not knowing he was already dead – but got no answer. She alerted the police and relatives in the village of Termalniy, near Petropavlovsk Kamchatskiy, in the extreme east of Siberia. She begged them to rush to the river where the pair had gone to retrieve a fishing rod that Igor had left. In a second call, a weak Olga gasped: ‘Mum, the bears are back. She came back and brought her three babies. They’re… eating me.’ Finally, in her last call – almost an hour after the first – Olga sensed she was on the verge of death. With the bears having apparently left her to die, she said: ‘Mum, it’s not hurting any more. I don’t feel the pain. Forgive me for everything, I love you so much.’ Half an hour later, Igor’s brother Andrei arrived with police to find the mother bear still devouring his body. Badly mauled Olga was also dead. Six hunters were sent in by the emergency services to kill the mother bear and her three cubs. The double killing is the latest in a spate of bear attacks across Russia, as the hungry animals seek food in areas where people have encroached and settled on their former habitat. A weeping Tatiana said that Olga had everything to look forward to, and was happy with her life and boyfriend Stepan. ‘My daughter was such fun. She was so cheerful, friendly, and warm,’ said Tatiana. ‘She had graduated from music school, and just days before the bear attack she got her driving licence.’ Her husband and daughter are due to be buried today."

And call me cruel, but I laughed out loud when I read this part.

‘Mum, the bears are back. She came back and brought her three babies. They’re… eating me.’

Om nom... a family affair!

So it’s come to this with our "cell phone savvy generation"? You can’t even die properly without being on the phone? I’m surprised she, with her incredible endurance (I'd kill for her endurance... though I'd rather forgo the whole "being made a snack for The Berenstain Bears" part.), she didn’t post about it on Facebook, complete with photographs (now that would have been pretty awesome). If she was an American, she probably would have…

In closing, I'd like to say this, if we would stay away from the bears territory, they would likely stay away from us... As Trent would say, "STOP FUCKING", and curb the over-population situation that threatens the bear's natural habitat, after all, they are bigger than us, and apparently like the taste of stupid human.

By the way The Berenstain Bears are fucking AWESOME!

This is by far the coolest thing I have EVER seen!

                                                 MADE OUT OF PVC PIPES!!!!

R.I.P.

R.I.P my wonderful Kindle... I didn't even do anything to it either... I got in the car with Trent this morning, and turned it on and the screen glitched all to hell, so now I have to wait until tomorrow and see if I can get a replacement... I am beyond unhappy.

Actually unhappy is not the word... I'm pretty pissed, I mean a lot of money was paid for it (it was a birthday gift), and you know, with that sort of money put into something like this, you have this expectation of quality, especially from a name like Amazon... I am just really, really disappointed with the product at this point.

This is so reminiscent

Shaped like a whole starfish wrapped around your wrist, the cuff measures 3 inches wide. It is etched with a dotted pattern that closely resembles real starfish "skin" texture for an organic look and feel.

This starfish cuff is cool for 2 reasons, first being that it reminds me of Salvadore Dali jewelry, and the second being that it is super affordable at only $62. I'm actually considering buying it.

The Sixth Amendment is awesome!

A loophole in US law may allow people to get away with any major crime within a 50-square mile "zone of death" in eastern Idaho, according to a Michigan law professor. This lawless oasis is said to exist on the edge of Yellowstone National Park because of a poorly drafted statute in the Sixth Amendment to the US Constitution. Criminals are entitled to be tried by a jury drawn from the state and legal district they committed their crime in, the constitution says.

But, argues Prof Brian C Kalt, while Yellowstone comes entirely under the district of Wyoming, small parts of it spill into the states of Montana and Idaho. "Say that you are in the Idaho portion of Yellowstone and you decide to spice up your vacation by going on a crime spree," Kalt writes in a forthcoming paper for the Georgetown Law Journal. You make some moonshine, you poach some wildlife, you strangle some people and steal their picnic baskets. You are arrested, arraigned in the park and bound over for trial in Cheyenne, Wyoming, before a jury drawn from the Cheyenne area. But Article III [Section 2] plainly requires that the trial be held in Idaho, the state in which the crime was committed.

Perhaps if you fuss convincingly enough about it the case would be sent to Idaho. But the Sixth Amendment then requires that the jury be from the state - Idaho - and the district - Wyoming - in which the crime was committed. In other words, the jury would have to be drawn from the Idaho portion of Yellowstone which, according to the 2000 Census has a population of precisely zero. Assuming that you do not feel like consenting to trial in Cheyenne, you should go free.

English loophole

No criminal defendant has ever broached the subject of the professor's loophole, and there may be one or two holes, he admits. It would be hard to limit your criminality to the specific area - meaning you could face conspiracy charges from the state you entered the park from. Equally you could be charged with lesser offenses that do not warrant a jury trial.

"The courts may or may not agree that my loophole exists," he says. And in any case this essay is not intended to inspire anyone to go out and commit crimes. Crime is bad, after all. But so is violating the Constitution. If the loophole does exist it should be closed, not ignored.

Criminals have got away with murder before in England, the professor says, but not since 1548 when the law was changed. Before then it often happened that a killer would strike in one county, but avoid punishment by ensuring the victim died across the county line, he says. English juries could only consider crimes that occurred in their own county, so no jury could find the killer had committed all elements of murder.

Koda Kumi's latest "scandal"

Koda Kumi recently revealed the PV to her song “KO-SO-KO-SO”, off her 50th single “4 TIMES”. The song is being used for some drama that I've never seen, nor do I really care to see, or mention by name.

The talk around the industry water cooler is that this particular PV is to "sexy" for airtime, and being pulled from stations all over Japan, China, and South Korea for it's "explicit content" as she can be seeing "messing around" in bed, scantily clad, with some other chick.

Personally, I don't consider a little bit of dry rubbing in the same position over and over again "ban worthy", they don't kiss and not a stitch of what little that they are wearing has been removed to expose anything unmentionable.

In closing, I find the PV underwhelming and typical for Koda Kumi... in other words, lyrically it's boring, and it's musical composition lacks severely. Neither the song or the video will stick with me, though I guess I should let you judge for yourself.

I am not going to embed it simply because I don't want to be looking at this stupid thing every time I load my blog.

Confusion just leads to annoyance

I am thoroughly annoyed when someone acts one way in private, yet acts a completely different way around people, it sends mixed signals and it's not only unsettling, but I feel that it is dishonest as well. Make up your God damned mind, and when you do, come talk to me and let me know what's been decided, because I don't like this at all.

September 6th can't come soon enough

I need no words other that to tell you to watch this...

Sexy boots

These boots are hot, and they are only $85. My only wish is that they came in other colors, such as pink or blue, and maybe a red.

Contagion

This movie is going to be awesome, even though Trent disagrees, I still really want to see it. It's an all star cast as well. Oh how I love me an Apocalypse film.

Holy Zombie Apocalypse Batman!

While talking to a friend yesterday about Zombie Apocalypse scenarios he linked me to this site. Intrigued, I clicked on it, and I wasn't disappointed...

It's a contest to create the best defensive shelter to survive a Zombie Apocalypse, and it's sponsored by none other than acclaimed Zombie author, Max Brooks. Now this is something that I would love to do. I don't have much time this year for a really thought provoking submission, as the deadline is next month, but I can play around with some ideas, and submit something, and then have the rest of the year to work on a killer project for next year's contest.

Here is the winner of last years contest, I have to say, and don't get me wrong, it's pretty innovative, though I am sure with a year to really think about it, my submission for next year is going to be better.

I really need a new hard drive

Okay, I admit it, I have a problem... I LOVE to download games... Games are awesome... I have many TB of games... do I play them...? Sadly not even 1% of my collection has been played, much less un-rared...

My boyfriend says that I'm obsessed, and that I should stop downloading games and I should play the games that I have collected... and I did, I stopped downloading games. Partly because he's right, and partly because I don't have enough hard drive space to download right now...

Here I sit, on Demonoid, downloading e-books... and it's okay, because they are really small and 1000's upon 1000's fit on my Kindle (they have become my new downloading obsession I think lol), and I accidentally clicked on the wrong torrent, and low and behold... my addiction is right in front of me... a volume (1 of 4) of classic RPGs, most of which I have never heard of...

I am salivating, looking at this torrent, so much so, that I stop my e-book hunt, and I load the pages for the other 3 parts to this EPIC volume... Thinking to myself how much I want this volume, I look at the numbers...

112.88 Gig... DAMN IT...

I only have 24.7gig left on my Windows drive, and my other drives are MAXED...

HENCE I NEED A NEW HARD DRIVE!!!

I have no words...

Okay, so I have some words... None of which are going to be pleasant...

Tosh... lay off the doughnuts... you're getting a bit chubby in your old age... and what's with the salmon colored lipstick?

Sugizo... That outfit is ghastly... You are in desperate need of a stylist.

Heath... for the love of all things holy... EAT SOMETHING! Go steal Tosh's doughnuts or something...

Yo... you look like yourself. Big surprise.

Pata... YOU LOOK FUCKING RIDICULOUS WITH THE FACIAL HAIR... FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY... SHAVE!

Oh my God, these are fucking cute!

I so want these... They are called Funtasma Dame-05 Ankle Boots, and they are only $49.95.

Jason Mecier "Pill" Art

These are really amazingly done... They're appropriate and at the same time extremely tragic...

Evolution and children

I have to wonder... watching Midget play with a large rubber ball, why are children so attracted to them? Why are they apparently from an evolutionary standpoint, adventitious?

Determining your baby's gender earlier than the standard 18 weeks

Finding out the gender of the baby is one of the biggest things many families look forward to during pregnancy, whether they have a preference or not.

Most average pregnancies in the United States undergo two ultrasounds -- one at the end of the first trimester, around 9-13 weeks, and another around the end of the second, around 18-22 weeks, the latter being the "gender ultrasound" most frequently.

But now researchers have found a way to find out the baby's sex at the first ultrasound with 97% accuracy. Researchers did a trans-vaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks on more than 5,300 women and hypothesized gender due to one marker. Then a trans-abdominal ultrasound (the one on your belly) at 18-20 weeks, and their method of gender determination was right 98-99 percent of the time!

The location of the placenta is what researchers used to determine the sex of the baby -- 97.2 percent of boys had their placenta on the right side of the uterus at that 6 week ultrasound, and 97.5 percent of girls had theirs on the left. According to their study, this method should be considered "highly reliable" in determining gender within the first few weeks of pregnancy.

Wow... Sadness

Jani Lane, the former lead singer of the metal rock band Warrant, has died in Los Angeles.

He was 47.

Officer Sara Faden says Lane's body was found Thursday in a Woodland Hills hotel. She had no immediate information on the cause or circumstances of his death.

With his long blond hair and tight leather outfits, Lane embodied the excess of 1980s "hair metal" rock bands. He joined Warrant in 1984 and wrote such hits as "Heaven," "Down Boys" and "Cherry Pie."

He had an on-and-off relationship with the band, leaving it in 1992 before returning and quitting again several times.
In recent years, he appeared in the reality TV show "Celebrity Fit Club" and made news for a drunken driving arrest.
He is survived by two daughters from two previous marriages.

My first concert in 1985 was a live show for Warrant... I feel a bit nostalgic... and a bit sad because he was quite young... I'm willing to bet his death is directly related to drugs.

And my friends say I'm fucked up...

Losing a loved one is never easy, but when 26-year-old Casie lost her husband Shawn in early 2011, after he succumbed to a severe asthma attack, the grieving process went in a direction that is pretty damn high on my "Fucked Up" meter...

Casie, a resident of Fayetteville, Tennessee, appeared on the season finale of the TLC series "My Strange Addiction", found herself eating his cremated ashes as a form of comfort.

Like me, I bet you are asking yourself, how in the holy fuck does a perfectly sane human being get to this point? Well, I'm of the opinion that she probably wasn't very stable to begin with, but I guess that really doesn't matter.

Cassie states that at first, her mourning took the form of carrying around her husband's cremated ashes wherever they went, including the grocery store, movie theaters and restaurants.

While that is not exactly in the realm of "abnormal", it is very creepy... Most people when getting ready to go to the Market, they grab their grocery list, and their pocket book... she grabs an urn full of human remains... yeah... okay I don't think that "creepy" is the word to describe this... I don't know what the appropriate word is at the moment, but I will say this, to my friends who think I am disturbed (I agree with them for the most part), this girl is on a whole different level... You won't see me carrying an urn to the Market, that's for damned sure.

Anyway, moving on...

She adds that things soon went slightly more extreme one day when some of the ashes spilled onto her hand.

I seriously have to wonder how that happened, I mean did she open the box and ask her beloved deceased which cut of pork she should purchase for the night's supper?

Sorry, to continue...

"I didn't want to wipe them off because that's my husband and I don't want to wipe him away," she said. "So I just licked it off my finger."

What?! She didn't want to wipe them off, because that's her husband... so the next logical step would be... to... eat them? How does one make that logic leap???

So apparently, she has been unable to stop, and estimates she has eaten at least a pound of ashes thus far, with about five more remaining. Despite the cremains having a taste that Casie describes as "rotten eggs, sand, and sandpaper," she has developed a taste for the death dust.

A FUCKING POUND??

Makes me wonder... can she be considered a cannibal? There are laws against that... why hasn't this bitch been arrested?

Although many people would find Casie's addiction shocking -- including her in-laws, who don't know she's slowly licking her husband away (I'd be the first to tell them what a fucked up daughter-in-law they have)-- the real danger isn't becoming a social pariah (fuck being a "social pariah, the bitch needs to be committed), it's that the ashes also contain chemicals that have been known to induce psychosis when ingested.

Move over Krokodil, you want a great high? EAT HUMAN ASHES!!!

BUT WAIT! There is hope: At the end of the episode, Casie checked herself into an inpatient care facility, and she did not bring the ashes.

You have to wonder, is there a clinical treatment for something like this... someone is going to make her the subject of their Thesis, and I can't wait to read it lol.
---------------------------------------------

I've seen some previews for other episodes of this TLC show, and I have to say I'm intrigued. I will probably watch it, and perhaps I'll blog about it again some time.

Nameless Road

Flowering mist marvel
Charming nameless road
A spring dawn

Along here road
Goes not one
This midsummer noontide

By desolate road
A lonely breeze
Into autumn dusk

Not one voice
Braves this road
On winter’s night

Weary she navigates
The intricate road
The nameless road

Enduring seasons on
This desolate road
Trudging without recourse

An insurmountable distance
That elusive coordinate
Sunlight salutes road

She is abandoned
Going nowhere on
That nameless road

An Opening Statement

Ah my friends, why do you wish me to start this journey again? I used to derive great joy from blogging. Sharing my thoughts, ideas, and passions with other bloggers, and in so, forming lasting relationships. Things changed towards the beginning of 2009, when I suffered some devastating losses. I swore then, I would never do this again, that I would never put myself in this vulnerable position, but here I am...

Argh, blogging, bloggers, the whole idea of immersing myself back into this medium is just making my stomach lurch. Though, while we are on the subject of bloggers, might I say that I find that most of them never seem to actually achieve their ultimate goal, leaving their amaranthine impression. Ostensibly, the facts presented seem to attempt convey some idea of the person, where they reside, what they are doing, what they believe to be advantageous . Blah, blah, blah... they intend to let the visitor know better the "flesh and blood human being" behind what ever it is that they do. More often than not, they usually fall far short of communicating any real sense of their actual character. They, and their posts alike, read more like bland political or trite social pamphlets, rather than any actual insight into their personality, and in doing so, nothing more than a contrived sense of image is conveyed. It is with this in mind, and in the spirit of trying to do better than the simpletons I just finished describing, is why most of what I have decided to put down on this nameless road, is very much the true definition of my character.
